We are offering various ways of managing the DMM-Views and its authorization as we found that different organization would like to handle this differently. Even different projects within the same organization have different authorization requirements.
So here are the possible options that you can use when designing a DMM-View:
1) Select none of these option
DMM will not reject the user to see this view.
2) Select “Use matching Roles to authorize Editors”
DMM will use “Editable by Roles”, “Change Notification to Roles” and “Design Administration by Roles” in order to authenticate users to the DMM-Views. This field needs to be filled otherwise you will receive a validation error when click on Save button.
3) Select “Use matching Tags to authorize Editors”
DMM will only make DMM-Views visible if the Person has the same Tag as the DMM-View.
4) Select both authorizations
DMM will fist check if the Person Tag is matching with the DMM-View Tag and will afterwards check the authorization by Roles. If both is OK the user can see his View.
Please do not forget to assign user to at least one record to maintain, otherwise they wont be able to see the view.
